This summer we hope to see you all at our monthly hangouts in The WhisperRoom to discuss these wonderful books! Follow us on Facebook for all the latest updates.
We are kicking off the summer with the feel-good book of 2020, which is now in paperback, The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. An enchanting story, masterfully told, The House in the Cerulean Sea is about the profound experience of discovering an unlikely family in an unexpected place—and realizing that family is yours.
We will meet in The Whisper Room to discuss The House in the Cerulean Sea on Saturday July 31 at 11:30.
In August, we will be thrilled by Sarah Gailey’s The Echo Wife. Evelyn Caldwell’s husband Nathan has been having an affair — with Evelyn Caldwell. Or, to be exact, with a genetically cloned replica. After a morning that begins with a confrontation and ends with Nathan’s body bleeding out on the kitchen floor, the two Caldwell wives will have to think fast—before sharing everything includes sharing a jail cell.
The Echo Wife is a non-stop thrill ride of lies, betrayal, and identity, perfect for fans of Big Little Lies and Killing Eve. We will meet in The Whisper Room to chat about The Echo Wife on Saturday August 28 at 11:30.
In September, we will experience Dolores Reyes's Eartheater. Surreal and haunting, spare yet complex, Eartheater is a dark, emotionally resonant tale told from a feminist perspective that brilliantly explores the stories of those left behind—the women enduring the pain of uncertainty, whose lives have been shaped by violence and loss.
We will meet in The Whisper Room to discuss Eartheater on Saturday, September 25 at 11:30.
